Have you ever been scrolling through your social media feed and come across something that leaves you with your mouth agape? I can’t believe he/she/they said that! you gasp to yourself. Sometimes, if it’s really good, you shake your head.
This post is full of those sorts of things. Enjoy!
Wendy’s and their trashy attitude
I get it, the question was supposed to be a joke so they thought they would respond with their own not-so-clever jab. Thing is, it’s not really funny at all and just makes them look like the whiny toddler of the fast food burger world. Pro tip: This is not how you customer service, folks.
This guy throwing shade
And then his buddy jumping in to help out with a list of burn centers in the area, how thoughtful! OP has a point, though – Without ugly people like his first friend, he likely wouldn’t notice just how great a buddy friend number two is.
That time J.K. Rowling said what we all think from time to time
When something happens to any fandom and they begin to lose their minds, I guarantee that at the very least, you’ve shaken your head at them. What good does burning the merchandise you spent good money on do, anyway? If you don’t want the stuff anymore, that’s fine; give it to someone who will appreciate it.
After this exchange (and a couple of others on the same topic), the author changed her name to J.R. for “Just Roasted”.
Myspace Tom gets real AF
My run-in with Myspace lasted all of about twenty minutes. As a result, Tom ended up being my only – and number one top – friend. It’s good to hear that my old friend Tom made multiple million dollars from the sale of his social media site. Perhaps I should invite him over to a barbecue sometime, it’s been a while.
Wendy’s at it again
So apparently this is a thing? Wendy’s has some really good food; I feel like they could be doing much better things with their social media accounts than making fun of their communities. Yes, I’m a blast at parties, thanks!
Be like Luis and get your greasy burger goodness from somewhere that cares.
On Facebook, you’re not even safe from your closest friends
Maybe Emily wants longer weekends so she can have more time to study English. Calen is just trying to help. Maybe they should get together at lunchtime; Emily can learn proper spelling and, if time permits, Calen could explain how a joke works too.
That time George Takai sent the old Aflac duck to the burn unit
This little exchange took place shortly after Gilbert Gottfried was fired from his job as the voice of the Aflac duck, which is unfortunate because the insurance he very likely had could have helped pay the bills while he was recovering from the burn. In case you weren’t aware, Takai slays on social media so it’s no surprise that it’s so on point.
When The Grinch was feeling colorful on Twitter one day
It looks like once the Christmas season is over, The Grinch goes back to having a tiny heart that’s as cold as Greenland. I’m not sure how good it is to have your heart grow and shrink three sizes every year from a medical standpoint, but he’s been around for a while so I guess he has it all worked out.
Gordon Ramsay can roast a grandma as well as he can roast a chicken
Ever wanted to know what a professional chef thinks of your or a family member’s cooking? Every once in a while, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay will take time out of his busy schedule to critique dishes on his Twitter. I’m not sure what I’m more surprised by – The fact that he does this, or the fact that he doesn’t respond in all caps and expletives.
That time the internet chose a new spokesman for United Airlines
You probably heard about the doctor that was literally dragged, kicking and screaming, off of a United Airlines flight a few weeks ago because they overbooked themselves. Again, people, this is not how you customer service.
After hearing/reading about this incident and being fueled by outrage, the internet got together and decided that Neegan – the current antagonist of the hit AMC series The Walking Dead – would be the perfect new spokesman for the company. This is just one of the many photos and memes that began circulating.
When the National Spelling Bee people did exactly their job
You know what? It is okay to lose, and kids need to learn how to do it gracefully. My thoughts on participation trophies are another subject for another day, but a couch to sit on when five-year-old Timmy misspells triskaidekaphobia is hardly the same thing.
When Rihanna publicly showed her distaste for Kendall Jenner
I mean, I don’t know anything about any sort of feud between them so maybe Rihanna isn’t actually being salty, but it seems like, at the very least, she’s indifferent to the Kardashian/Jenner craze. Can you blame her though?
That time that Taco Bell and Old Spice fired shots at each other
I mean, I guess it could be a legitimate question – If it were made of old spices, people could put it on their crunch wraps or something. I don’t know why someone would want to do such a thing though, crunch wraps are amazing just the way they are.
When Troy wanted more treble
Not everyone is all about that bass. Troy, for example, is all about going from cafe to cafe until he hears a song he actually enjoys instead. To each their own. I hope that he found one quickly!
And Wendy’s closes us out with a frosty remark about the competition
